History


Autopromet company with present name was founded in the year 1950. First trucks were FORD's, SKODA's and OM Taunus models. They had only 65-70 HP engines. (Photo shows Alfa Mille from the 60's of twentieth century. )

 

 

 

 

Alfa Mille from 1962. Engine was 5 cilinder diesel with 163 HP.

 

 

 

 

Alfa Mille, maximum load 24 tons. These trucks have been used mostly for transport of fresh meat to Italy.

 

 

 

At the end of the 60's we bought first FIAT vehicles. Photo shows Fiat 619-210 with 210 HP.

 

 

 

 

Two FIAT vehicles from 1971. Autopromet used different FIAT models 682N-140 with 140 HP , model 682 with 174 HP, model 684 with 208 HP etc.

 

 

 

 

In the year 1972 we bought first 10 Volvo trucks. Volvo's came with 16 shift manual gearbox and 330 Hp engine most powerfull in its class back in the 70's of the twentieth century.

 

 

 

 

Volvo with tank for liquid sulfor. During 70's Autopromet was only transporter of liquid sulfor in former Yugoslavia.

 

 

 

 

At the end of the 70's RABA was part of Autopromet fleet, too. Engines 230-290 Hp, Fuller gearboxes.

 

 

 

 

Autopromet was using a lot of IVECO trucks in 80's and 90's.

 

 

 

IVECO 'TurboStar' model from begining of the 90's of the twenieth century. Engines 330-360 Hp.

 

 

 

 

In the 80's and the 90's IVECO trucks have been popular in Autopromet fleet.

 

 

 

 

 

Present fleet of Autopromet consists mostly of the DAF's FT 85 and FT95 (420 Hp) trucks.
